The structure of our tutoring sessions are based on the needs of the student. For example, if a student is struggling with a class, we Tutor to the Class. This approach uses the student's grades, notes, book, syllabus, and the teacher's input as our guide for what needs to be covered in the tutoring sessions. In these tutoring sessions we work with the student on completing homework assignments as platform to teach the content and skills neccessary to do well in the class. We always aim for our students to make an A in their class. Many times we find that the student is deficient in material from past classes. We address these issues as needed in order for the student to grasp the material in their current class. For students that want to 'excel beyond the class', or learn a subject that they are currently not taking a class for, we create a custom syllabus to reach our learning goals.

I am humbled and honored to help our students excel in their academic journey. My unparalleled success at helping students achieve their academic goals has earned me the nickname of "miracle worker" at increasing students' grades.
Joseph Kaminsky founded Advantage Tutoring in 2004. He first started tutoring students in Biochemistry that were applying to Pharmacy School. He soon expanded his clientele to include students from elementary, middle, and high school. Before long Joseph was tutoring students off all ages, grades, and subjects. Joseph's "knack" at taking failing students and raising their grades to high B's and A's inspires him to reach as many students as possible. Joseph graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Memphis with a B.S. in Biochemistry and Chemistry. Along with his 6 years of tutoring experience that includes over 5000 hours of tutoring experience, he was trained by the University of Memphis's Educational Support Program to be a tutor. Joseph's hobbies include taking care of his pets(6 dogs and 1 cat), expanding his teaching knowledge, and watching movies.
